just noticed my hatch making more and more noise from the back. to the point i had to try something. what i found on my car was that the center garnish had lost two of its fasteners and was the source. i cut a couple small pieces of foam i had laying around and jammed them in strategic locations.
no more rattles now.

Uh? Trim? interior piece?...Garnish? HAHA, I just removed the plate underneath the loop on the hatch..shortened it up and stopped ALOT of the squeak, actually killed it for a long time..still does a very very tiny bit, and I only hear it when the stereo is off and im coasting or something..
