I know most people know about the car, but Motor Trend put up an article on their website, so if anyone is interested...

Looks like Igor will have a new forum to add under "Infiniti" in the near future.

Nope... no G35 for me :p
If I did get another Nissan it will be the new 350Z.
300hp for $30,000 hell if I'm not down with that.

The G35 looks too much likee a civic, and we all know how "gorgious civics are". Stick with G20's and everything will make sense.

The G35 is supposed to "Pave the Way" for a US spec R35 GT-R, using the Q45s V8 instead of the RB26DETT. I think that they should have positioned the G35 as the R35 and sold it above the I35.

I doubt the GTR will ever make it over here.
For one it wouldnt be in the Nissan line cause their main US sports car focus will be the 350Z
I really dont see them putting it in the Infiniti lineup, I dont know why but I just have a gut feeling it wont happen.
I've never even heard that the GTR may be coming here. I think thats just rumors being spread due to speculation. Some people may think that since the Skyline is coming over here in G35 clothing, that the GTR is soon to follow, but they're wrong cause the GTR will now branch off completely from the Skyline.
As for setting the G35 above the I35... are you kidding???
The whole point of dropping the G20 and bringing in the G35 is to better compete w/ the BMW 3 series, Audi A4, and Lexus IS300. The G20 was always compared to those cars mainly because they are all the base models of the luxury car lines. The G20 never stood a chance up against these cars which is why they brought in this new car with RWD and more HP.
The G35 would never even be considered to be priced higher than an I35. The I35 competes against BMW 5 series and Audi A6's, etc... the price is a lot less but its in the same class.

Hindsight is 20/20 but for the G20 to have been competetive it should have come base with an SR20VE and the 't' model with a DET. They probably would have sold 3 times as many. :( Oh well it just a pipe-dream.

I am pretty confident the G35 well equipped will be close to 35-36K, but knowing Infiniti the car will be discounted.

No. In Infiniti's press releases to all the magazines they stated it will be priced slightly higher than a G20 but less than the I30....
look for a $25-28K base.
