The car was running good until Sunday. Went out to start and it would not fire. I have checked the following:
Spark is good on all 4 cylinders (confirmed with a spark tester inline),
compression is good in all 4
Fuel pump works and has good fuel pressure
Pulled timing cover and chain is good with no stretch and in time
Car will not attempt to fire, even with spraying starting fluid in the intake and closing it back up. It sounds like it is out of time.
Can the crank trigger cause this or does it sound like ignition computer? Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve

I have the same problem. Just removed the Ign module th have it tested. If it's ok i will try a good used crank sensor. If that dosen't work, i'll back up and punt.

I tracked it down through other forums to a weak starter. I changed the crank sensor while I had the computer out as it was only $18 at Parts America. The starter was not spinning fast enough to generate the proper wave form so that the computer would pick up and fire in time. GOOD LUCK.
