front struts

i was just to the mechanic and was told my strut mount was loose on the front driver side. it maked a clunking noise going over bumps and also just pushing down on the car. can actully feel it when toutching the strut. so here is the delima. i have a 04 and they said that the only struts that are available were from the dealer. i am not going to waste money on the factory struts if i dont have to. does anyone have any links to go to that they know will work with my car. thanks:)

The only manufacture i can think of , But i m not sure if they make them is KYB's They were the manufacture of the older Struts , Nissan used that Never went bad.

My guess is that warranty covers such factory problems ?
