99 GTP remote receiver

Trying to locate the receiver on 99 GrandPrix GTP,tried to get remote programmed and dealer said I needed to replace receiver.

Are you referring to the remote control door lock receiver - RCDLR?

If so it is is located in the dash behind the area where the IP Cluster and DIC are located.
