Hey, Im new to the forums and found a lot of info on here and have a question you guys. I was going to get this muffler for my 94' Cutlass Ciera:

I was wondering if i get the 2" ID or the 2 1/2" ID? Also...is there anyway to Clamp-On the muffler to save money on having it welding?
Thank you guys so much!
-Matt

for the diameter im not sure what you have, as for clamping, you can get clamps from autozone for a few bucks, just takes quite a bit of force to tighted the screws to be sure theres a good and tight seal, as for rather or not you can make it fit, one thing i wonder is if you can hold it up, since it doesnt have factory spots for screws or hangers, but they have straps, available at autozone, that can help you find a way to attach the muffler to your car, hope this helps!

you can try and measure your diameter with a simple tape measure, just wrap it aound the pipe, and theres your OD, then i guess u could measure the thickness and deduct that from the OD to get the ID. or just measure straight accross when you cut it. another thing i just thought of, write down your vin number, and call a deal for your car, any GM dealer should know, and ask them, they'll probably ask for you vin, just tell them and you'll get all the info specific for your car

ok, so what is ID? Inner diameter? I measured across the pipe and its 2". Also...if i want to clamp this muffler on is the seal going to be as good as a weld?(just trying to avoid the $50). To cut the old muffler off is there a certain tool or can i just take some type of elec. saw to it? So im guessing to go for the 2" ID one...
