Ok so i still cant figure this one out i just finished changing all the spark plugs and wires. I have already changed fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, Idle air control valve, and the throttle positioning sensor. I can get the car to start but it idles really rough and if you try and give it gas it shuts down. I really need help with this one. Please help

it sounds like you need to replace the mass air flow sensor. i have replaced a few of these sensors in vehicles with the same condition that you are describing. let me know if this helps out at all

If The Mass Airflow Is Bad You Can Unplug It And The Computer Will Set A Default Value And It Will Run Ok.does This Have A 3.

This Have A 3.

I would highly recommend asking the person with the problem what year, model and engine size to include mileage first. It will cut down on unnecessary questions, excessive posts and confusion. Also, you can check the user profile which states he has a '91 model Grand Prix. Therefore, the engine choices were either 2.3L Vin D, 3.1L Vin T or the 3.4L Vin X to start until he clarified.

i dont think it does the only sensor between the throttle body and the air filter housing is a little sensor that plugs into the air filter housing.

On The Diag Connector Under The Dash There Are Two Terminals Usually Upper Right 2 Right Nexxt To Each Other That Accually Have Metal Connectors In Them With The Key Off Use A Paper Clip Or Something To Jump The Two Together Then Turn The Key On Just To Ignition Dont Try To Start Car ,like You Want To Listen To The Radio Or Something.the First Code Will Be 12. 1 Flash Then A Pause Then 2 Then A Longer Pause.it Will Flash Code 12 Three Times This Means Your In Diag Mode If There Are Any Codes It Will Flash Them In Numarical Order Three Times Example Code 34 After It Flashes Code 12 Three Times It Would Flash 3 Times Then Pause Then Flash 4 Times.it Will Flash Each Code Three Times In A Row.then When Its Done It Will Flash 12 Three Times Again.oh Ya The Check Engine Light Is What Will Flash.then Shut Key Off Befroe You Remove Jumper Wire From Connector................good Luck
