holley carb install

hi guys i just got a new carb a holley 650 double pumper i tried to install it but the carb is hitting my brake booster vacuum lineat the rear of the carb i have a eldbrock performer manifold is there a way i can keep my power brakes by getting a adapter or something help please thanks

What kind of car is it?

I presume it's a steel line, because a rubber line can simply be replaced with a longer one and re routed.

you could cut the line then place a rubber line over it, secured with a tiny hose clamp) and route it out of the way.

If you wish to preserve the original line, just remove it and get a brass fitting/nipple that will fit (most auto parts stores should have a wide variety of fittings) and place a rubber hose over it.

If you must have steel line, you may find a section of steel fuel or brake line that will fit and can be bent around the carb.

hi my car is a 8oTA ther is a brass fiting in the manifold now tried to find a 90 degree fiting but the carb is fiting right over the fiting i know its got to be full vacuum i wonder can tee it in with my transmission vacuum line will that work any help thanks

You will notice the brake vacuum line is much larger than the trans line. The brake booster needs much more 'flow' of vacuum to work. The trans line may be too narrow. However, there may be another vacuum source or port you can use.
Sometimes, manifolds have extra threaded ports that have screw-in plugs. Look around for one.
