Exhaust Questions

Ok I was wondering why it seems as though my car has two catalytic coverters. I have one close to downpipe then a huge long cyclyndrical one shortly after that. WTF? Well anyways anyone know of a good cat back system for my Buick Regal GSE? I'm getting new downpipe/cat too, probably the one by random technology.

It is not a cat, but the long tube is called a resonator. at the cost of a factory cat they wouldn't put 2 on. Go to the dealer and by an orignal cat at some may cost as high as $800!
