How do I remove the distributer?

How do I remove the distributor? Originally I was planning on converting my car to MPFI myself so I can do later swaps but my dad says we don't have the tools to remove the distributer.....

Three bolts, they might be covered with caps, hold it to the head, after you take those off and unplug the wire connectors on it, you can just pull it straight out, try not to turn it so you dont mess up your timing, The thing on the bottom of it is shaped so that if you need to put it back on it only fits one way.

there should be 3 screw/bolts that need to be removed then you can just pull it off. i think they are a 12mm or you can use a philips head. unscrew those, disconnect the wires and its off.

My dad was warning more about the timing of the one I am putting in (EX distributer) He says the timing is the problem not getting it out or putting it in....

its "keyed" so it can only go in one way, but i would time it anyway.

How do I time it?

You time it with a timing gun.
