well my motors done in my 97 blazer. im at a point where it would be worth putting a new one in compared to getting a new car. i was quoted at 2900 installed jasper motor, but i can do it cheaper if i can get my car to florida(im in PA) It wont make it down there for sure so i was thinking about shipping it down. Any one have any idea how much shipping a car goes for and who would do it?
Thanks

I would guess $1000 , but do not know who. One can rent a dolly, trailer, towbar pretty cheap.

Check around local car lots and find out wher they buy their cars from (the auctions). You might luck up and find a car hauler that comes up from FL with cars and is lookig for some to haul back or might have room for one or two going to FL from PA from the auctions, and it's a lot safer and saves wear and tear on your Blazer by trying to tow it with a dolly or tow bar.

I weighed out the price and time it would take to go to florida and do it, and im just getting it done up here. If i had time and didnt need my car then may be but, im in school and cant take off to run down there and work on it. But i know a guy out here who will take out and put in a motor, tune it bleed it everything for 600 bux. so thats what im doing. Thanks for your guys help any way.

They guy i was talking to about said that when people do manifolds when the anti-freeze falls in the motor if you dont drain it first(witch i did, first timer) even for a few hours i can eat up the bearings, And that happend to me, i left it sit over nite, he thinks between overheating and the antifreeze in the oil over nite did the damage. It really baffles me though why i spun a bearing. The last one i did i beat the crap out of the car. This one i took care of, even off-roading i wouldnt let the RPMS go above 4000 EVER. normal driving the tranny would shift at 2500 usally. any way i got a sperate student loan to cover it all and them some so haha just a bigger bill once i get out of school but hell of alot better then sacrificing for a lesser car and better then having a car payment in college, But my car will be soild and no worries............ hopefully. S10, the way i look at it, It would be worse, if it was easy everyone would do it. thanks though
