Break Problem

I changed my breaks on my 99 intrigue 3.8
passanger side outer pads were like new
and the inner pad were down to the metal
can some one let me know what could be the problem

sounds like the caliper isnt releasing properly, does the car pull to one side when you drive it?
The first thing you should check are the brake lines running to the caliper with the problem, the rubber lines should be hard and firm, and you should barely be able to push in on the walls of them with your fingers.
Next you might grease the slide bolts on the caliper, they are the ones you had to take out to remove the caliper to change the pads. They should have a good coating of silicone grease on them, if not they wont allow the caliper to release properly.
Yet another thing to try would be getting some high-temp grease, such as for wheel bearings and brakes, and putting on the contact points of the pads, such as where the metal ends of the pads rest down in the caliper brackets, where they would slide back and forth. This typically wouldnt cause a problem, but if the other two dont check out you might try it. This is usually done more to prevent brake squeal, but it might be worth a shot.
If none of the above seems to be a problem, you might just need a new caliper, they do fail from time to time.
Those are the only things I can think of that would cause uneven pad wear..well warped rotors could, but not to that extreme.
But check those out and let us know what you find.
