2000 Silverado need help to make it faster

:shakeheadOk i have a 2000 silverado. and i am looking to make it faster but i still wanna be able to tow and not lose that much gas. i have a k&n intake on it that makes the get up and go lil faster and sounds cool. but i dont really want to spend to much. friend said i can get a clip that changes the shift points and the maxs the speed. do those work or not. or if any one has any ideas in what i can do. i dont want to put and turbo or supercharger nothing like that. thanks for your help

what kind of engine? if you say 4.3L V6 then we can't help you :icon16:

exhaust, and to make it real quick you can throw some 5.10 gears in it.:grinyes:

Hi Jesse...I have a 2000 K1500 5.3 and I have a K&N intake, Superchips programmer and I replaced the huge muffler with a little Borla turbo muffler and I really can feel the difference. Gas milage went up not down if I keep my foot out of it. You can do other things but those three make the biggest gains.
