Issues with new car

Hello all. Bought an '87 Prelude today (automatic) and found this forum. I have a couple of small questions, which, despite searches, did not yield satisfactory answers.

First, the front end, including wheels, engine, and steering wheel, shakes violently when accelerating from a standstill. It feels like the 1-2 upshift, but it could be 2-3.

Second, the outside driver side door handle does not work. To get into the car, I have to get in the passenger side and crawl across.

Third, during a U-turn, I get a gravelly kind of resistance from the inside wheel, starting at about 135 degrees (three quarters of the way through the turn).

It's important to note that this car has not been loved. The paint looks like peeling plastic and the interior, namely door panels, has been thrashed all to hell. Mileage is 186k.

Thanks in advance for all your help, and I look forward to your responses.

is there any clicking noises when you're doing a turn? You're CV axles could be going(or already gone), equal tire pressure or balanced wheels? possibly even the allignment. does it have power steering?

The handle thing, you're probably gonna have to get a new handle from a junkyard, maybe someone parts out their car, but you could take the inside door panel off, and hook up a piece of speaker wire, or string to it, so you can open the drivers door from the outside. I've seen quite a few Eclipses with this done. Good luck with that thing and just post if you notice more stuff.

Now that you mention it, the resistance I feel in a turn is more clicking than grinding. The car does have power steering, and an alignment problem would not surprise me. Your idea of removing the interior panel sounds good; I have a bit ofcable that should fit the bill.

Thanks for the response, and I'd love to hear any other suggestions anyone has.
