It's not a one piece, it's a trim level. They have a chrome one and a painted one and the painted one doesn't look so bad but, if you want chrome then it' looks ridiculous. I don't know I'm still on the fence about this one. I think if I had to upgrade my truck that I might switch and become a GMC Sierra man as the new ones look pretty slick.
I think GM really dropped the ball on this Silverado and it will be interesting to see how sales go...

I started liking the GMC look after the silverado 1999-2002 model. After that chevy had some ugly front-ends looks that came out. But you can tell chevy knew it too because every year they would change the headlights just a little bit towards the GMC look. MAybe i'm crazy. But GMC has had the better look in the last 4 years.A

Uhhh... no they didn't. Chevy changed the headlights in 2003 to what they were thru the 2006 model. In 2005, they slightly changed the grille, and started putting HD hoods on everything, but the headlights only changed once in the 99-06 production.http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a5/BlenderWizard/tard.gif

03 and higher chevy took the down fall on looks. I am glad I keep my 2000.
I have not decided on the new looks of the 2007. I do agree with the other members about the bumper.. it would look nicer with the solid bumper (like the tahoe) instead of the 2 piece. I do like the engine options. they give you more flexibilty. It does piss me off that the new 4.8's put out the same HP as my 5.3L on my 2000. grrrrrr...

I think that they need to get the front end closer to the ground.
