i have a 94 grand am and it overheats in 45min-an hour only when the car is not moving but when the car is running it wont overheat, even after an hour of driving, i checked the coolant oil everythin fine no nasty mixtures but there seems to be rust in my resevoir tank. i dont know if i should flush it my mechanic told me theres a chance your radiator could get clogged up at matters could be worse. Im thinking of just installin an extra fan for mor air so that when the car is not moving it wont overheat , do you guys think this might work????

You didnt say what motor, that might hav helped.
More fans wont fit nor will it probly help.
Go for the coolant system flush, it'll help if nothing else is wrong.
Wouldnt hurt to replace that thermostat, winter is on its way.
