digital dash gauges

I remember seeing a site that sells a micro processor to display engine info onto a Game Boy. I also saw a car (on t.v.) that had an LCD monitor mounted in the dash that displayed a full set of gauges.
Does anyone know who produces an ECU that displays engine info onto a flat screen? I have a project that needs a high tec look.
