I don't know, the car still looks pretty clean to me.
Now my car is dirty. It rained and washed all the dirt from the car cover onto the car.

I'm sorry but I just cant help from laughing at seeing such skinny tires on a Trans Am:lol:
And they still look like truck tires to me but whatever. Enjoy the slight difference in ET at the track

Too much for a stock car man. You need a good DR, not a M/T DR. These hook as well as some slicks. I have seen guys cut 1.4-1.5 short times on them with autos.
I am looking for 1.60-1.65. Weak spot will be the stock driveshaft.

You can keep your skyline. I have no use for one. :icon16:

You mean to tell me that there are still major drivetrian components on that car that remain stock???

Yeah.
Why is that funny?
Hasn't failed yet. Although it hasn't been put through any really hard launches.

Surprisingly LS1 driveshafts can hold up to some impressive torque numbers. Although, we live in the real world and it is made of soft aluminum and with as far from stock as Mr.Luos has traveled. That is most certainly his weak link. I don't think it will break on the first few passes but I see the ds breaking at the rear weld one of these days on a nice heavy launch that hooks well.

Is that why you were trying to change them out? Are you other wheels going to work or are you going to have to change out the studs everytime?

I hope you've atleast installed a driveshaft loop for when it does fail ...
pulling trucks make their own, a cheap home made one may save you from trashing your car at the track someday ... unless you get lucky & it just drops out the rear ... but with my luck i'd drop the front u-joint ... and that should be the weak point ... shafts are designed to break the joint before the shaft ... atleast change out the joints once a season ... until you upgrade ...

It has a driveshaft loop. NHRA required.

NHRA required once you're in the 13s... I sure would hope he's got one hahaha

Check one post above yours.
Also...NHRA requires it at 11.49. Last time down I was told it wasn't required, but certainly recommended.
