Welcome to the other side of reality wrightz28. Have been working on Fords since 1979. For some reason the Police like the Crown Vic. Glad to have you over here in the little car forum. Rod may jump me for it, but I drive GM and work on Ford. Hope we can help you if the need arises.

Thank you for the welcome mat. :D
For the time being it seems that I need to sit back and take things into perspectiive for a while as some things appear to have slightly different causes for problems than I'm accustomed to.
As stated in my thread saying hello, I've had a few fords in my days, but none as drivers in about 10 years. Most recent was only for the purpose of moving which was a 86 F250 6.9 diesel. :banghead: nightmare
I'm sure I have quite a bit to pick up on, but, sounds like there's good heads to learn from here.
And actually, I do have question, and will start a thread on
Thanks again.
Oh, and to divert Rod from jumping you over driving a GM, I'll back you up on that, while I'm waiting to get parts together for the Taurus, I'm driving the family DODGE van :yikes:

Actually, I don't have an issue with recent (ie: post 1986) Chryslers. They seem to do stuff mostly logically as well.

Yeah, it's not half bad, it's the V6 model conversion so it's highly underpowered, and the trans has always had a funky slip feeling to it :dunno:

way to go rod! i have been hoping that you would get that position! You are an awesome person, its great to be able to talk to someone that knows a great deal about cars who makes the time to help others with their problems!! I am sure that everyone out there will back me up when i say you are one of the few great people who takes the time to help the little guy, and to explain things over and over again to someone so that they understand, and not use termnalogy that is over peoples heads so we all feel comfterbal when we are discussing something with you because you dont make us feel stupid because we dont know some of the terminology you help us with our problem! On behalf of myself and automotive forums, thank you and congratz!
