I am really curious about making my own decals. I have read alot of the threads and so on, but I have a old hp deskjet 5150 printer. I heard that laser is the way to go, so do you guys have some opinions on what is a good printer, but not super pricey... I am in a graphics major too, so it will be nice to have a better printer for that also. Any help is awsome!

Cheapest way is to print your decals out with your bubblejet and then have those laser copied at a local copy center. . .

Why print it out and then copy? That's one step too much. A good copyshop should be able to print your data.
Cover the print up with Micro Scale Liquid Decal Film afterwards and Use Micro Sol for the application. The decals will be stiffer than aftermarket ones!
