Electric seat play

I have a 99 Durango and the drivers seat seems to have some play in. It will slide approx. 1/2 inch when I start and stop. I was thinking that the seat motor or gear is just worn. Anyone have this issue, and if so, how did you correct it. thanks

My 99 D has had this problem for a long time. One repair shop said it could cost $75 to $600 to fix, depending on exact problem, so I gave up. Tried to remove the seat attachment bolts myself to analyze further, but couldn't even budge them. You'd need an air wrench I guess.
