89 sedan hood????

Does anyone know where I can find a hood for an 89 sedan my ex was nice enough to run my car under an expedition, thanks!

If anyone did that to me theyd be an "ex" pretty quick too.

Take a look in the junkyards, even if you got a new hood it would still have to be painted..so just look around for a good one. There are at least 3 or 4 sedans in the junkyard near me at any time..

Just make sure its off a four door, the ones from hatches are differnt.

yeah junkyard is your best bet...but you could always check craigslist or a local forum for parts

Yeah that would be a good idea but I have checked all of the junkyards here, there are not very many 4 doors here in Germany. I have 3 different SI hoods and a regular civic 2 door hood and none of them fit! I would hood pin one of the SI ones but there is a gap in the headlights that just does not look right!

well you might want to search state side and find someone who'll ship it to you...but that sounds expensive...if you can't find a stock hood...may have to order a CF or fiberglass hood...may come out cheaper

Just go to your local body shop and see if they can get one, most body supply companys do not sell or advertise to the public.

also, try getting the hinges off a 2 door CRX or HB model, and using those on your sedan with the other hoods that you have... it might work, it came pretty close when we bolted my sedan hood on my CRX (it folded over the roof when it flew up lol) then again, check your local laws.. it may be legal to drive w/o a hood... like it is here in NY, USA lol did that for awhile too :P

I dont think its smart to half ass a hood, not only will you be wasting your money on the wrong hood, but it will also look like shit and might get you killed on the highway. BTW in Cali i know its not illegal to drive w/o a hood.

tried the 2 door hinges but it is too short, thanks for the concern but I will not half ass it I see 120MPH everyday here in Germany on the way to and from work not going to chance anything, as a matter of fact I have hood pins just in case. Also, it the Poliezi (German police) caught me without a hood they would impound the car!!

haha i think thats my next mod. but does anyone else think its time for a jdm front end conversion? i do. check out password jdm.com go the the ef section then go to 4d section the jdm hoods are there for our cars and they are jdm.
