Had codes checked today and car is showing shift solenoid a code. Is the solenoid located on the outside of the transaxle or is it internal on the valve body? Also has anyone changed one of these and how much can I expect to pay for it?

I have a five-speed, so i don't have much expereance with the good ol' automatic. However , I can tell you a shift solinoid is internal.

thanx. Appears solenoid is located on edge of valvebody. Now I have to drop pan to see if it is accessable without disassembling tranny.
