I'm looking at replacing all the struts on my 98 SE. I've looked at Monroe and KYB struts. Which ones do I go with? I have heard I should avoid the Monroes. Any advise would be appreciated? I've done struts before and not had a problem with the Monroes, but then I had sold the car shortly after changing them.

The Monroes will provide a factory type ride
The KYB are a little stiffer. Most people that mofidy the taurus use Eibach springs or Ford SHO springs and then use KYB struts,

I've had very good luck with Monroe struts. Very seldom do they leak or wear out in my experience. Gabriels on the other hand I've had a lot of trouble with. I stay away from Gabriels.
Monroes have a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser as well.
I bought a set of KYBs for my 2nd Gen SHO but never put them on before selling the car. They're still in the box in the attic of my garage....
