New one: my left turn signal is starting to, intermitantly, not blink when switched on, it just lights up and stays solid....Any idea what component is going bad?

Low blinker fluid :dunno:
Alright alright, seriously, it's probably a bulb going funky, that is the GM default to let you know one is out, the cicruit will stay solid.

change all 4, its cheap, youll know theyre all new so one wont burn otu in a week, and electrical gremlins are a pain in the ass so just do em all. Also may wanna consider the bulb sockets

think I got it...found a ton of old dried out elec. grease in the bulb-socket. Seems to have been the problem.
