Run Flat tricks?

I am putting 2 new tires onto my girlfriends fathers car. He has a 99 Vette and he is putting run flats back on them. I've done a lot of tires, but the last time I had to do a run flat was on a Mini Cooper, and I had a hell of a time trying to break the tire off the rim. I can only imagine what these tires will be like. So I am asking if anyone has any tricks that they use while mounting these types of tires? If there is nothing than I am just going to go with sheer grit and determination in getting these tires off. I just needed to ask incase someone had a good idea how to break the tire down. Thanks in advance for any replies,
Chris

its all about the machine you use. Many of the newer tire machines are designed specifically for this type of situation.....but it still ain't no fun!!

thanks for the replies, and yeah the machine does make a big difference. We have a COATS tire machine... or at least I think thats what we have, we also bought a brand new one that supposidly does tires much better, but no one can seem to get the damn thing to break a tire decently. I am going to give the new machine a whirl and see if it can't help me. Thanks for the replies.

just pay someone to do it, that way if they damage the rim you wont have to pay for it...

Sounds to me like he works for a shop that does such things, so people actualy pay him :)
Or, he's just luckey enough to have a tire machine in his garage.

I just found out that I might not even be able to mount the tires. Supposidly vette rims are a lil different and in order to break the tire down, you need to have another arm or something on the machine. Not exactly sure if this is true or not. Just a rumor I heard from one of the guys I work with.
