Where is the low pressure port to put the R134 refrigerent in on a 2003 Grand AM? I have looked and saw to potential places. One was a green cap which was on the driver's side on the top of the engine next to the air filter housing. The next was a black cap on the passenger front of car above the radiator and cooling fans. Is there another one I am missing or is it one of these?
BTW, not my car but my roommates.

Green cap is the low pressure port. Should state on the green cap 1 psi or less. Leave the black on alone. The fitting on your recharge kit will only fit the proper port anyway.

Thanks
All the top of the cap says is "Hand tighten only". Go figure. I thought it was this one anyways because the line on the other port is metal which indicates a high pressure line. I wasn't 100% sure because the green top port branches out and looks like goes to the top of the engine block somewhere though.

I thought the Low pressure port, with the blu cap,
was behind the motor on the passenger side...
... or did they move it on the 03' ...?
black or red is usually the high pressure

It was the green cap. It fit the port and chilled the AC down a lot.
Thanks

OK After reading and looking some said it was a green cap some said a blue cap some said it was up front some said it was on the fire wall.. so the answer is , Its a blue cap and you cannot see it it !! look directly in the BACK of engine in the center , look all the way down you will see 2 aluminium large line , reach your hand down and follow the line it will curve around a bit and you feel it!! but wont see it it .. just unscrew and plug the refill line .. Have an Awesome day ! 2003 Grand Am 6 cylinder!

Ok, I know this is a old post, but, the GREEN cap? Did someone charge the A/C through the EVAP port??
Thanks

I doubt it, GMTech1.......unless they used a lot of "Duct" tape....that stuff works wonders....adding freon to an EVAP system would be a "gas"!
