The original text of my problem and subsequent replies to try and fix it can be found here:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=605721

My new problem is that the one station that came in crystal clear before is now showing the same problems as the other two stations did before I switched the cables on my splitter. This signal is supposed to be the strongest in my area also. Do you think the splitter could be defective? If so,why did it take so long for the problem to resurface? I would have thought it would reappear in a day or two. The 2 stations that were having the reception problems are now coming in a lot clearer with no discernable problems like before. I thought once I switched the two cables on the splitter, the problems I was having with the living room tv, would have been transferred to the tv in the kitchen, and vice-versa. Instead the channel reception was affected. Hoping you guys can come through with some answers for me again. Thanks.

A splitter effectively splits the signal by however many outlets you use. So if you used to have 1 x TV and you used a splitter to 2 TVs, you effectively have 1/2 the signal strength. 3 TVs and you get 1/3 strength.

Try unplugging one or more of your TVs when you have reception problems and see if they clear up. If they do, it's likely to be the splitter.
