You may have asked the stupidest question I've seen on this forum. That's not your fault but you should know. It's been engineered differently, more carbon fiber panels, a 427ci small block, 6 piston brakes, 16" rotors and better tires. Everything about this car screams supercar, except for maybe the interior, which is still pretty cool. The center screen is back like on the C4s, It says Z06 505hp all over the place to make you feel special and it has a different front fascia. Someone else can help flesh out the details.

It was still stupid question, I don't deny that. From the sound of your question, you sounded like you just wanted to know the big differences. You want to know the widths of the washers?? A 427 cubic inch V8 is VERY VERY VERY DIFFERENT from an LS2.
You can try to get your hands on the GM video manual of the Z06. It talks about the differences in the vettes, from the new exhaust system and dry sump(race pan) to maintenance on the LS7. I watched this video in automotive tech class.
Yeah anyone can do a google search, you do have an idea of how much information is on the internet right? How about this, I went to Limerock CT to watch the C6R at ALMS. Is that good enough credibilty? Other than that I'm saving money for a corvette.

I attribute the stupidity of this thread to the reason that NO ONE IS EVER ON THIS FORUM!

I haven't researched the C6 online as much as you thought I did but I do know some great forums like digital corvettes and corvette forum. I have to ask again, what did you want to know because I'm still not sure what information you want.
Did you want a reason not to buy this car if you can afford it? It's the Best bang for your buck sports car. Were there other cars you were interested in? The C6 is nice (and I wish i had one) and the LS2 has a lot of potential, just look at modified Pontiac GTOs.
Sorry for calling your question stupid, with no grounds to do so other than assuming you were a noob. Okay that doesn't sound nice either, sorry.

The aluminum frame is one of the major differences as well.
If I could add anything to my C6 from the Z06 it would be motor and exhaust. The rear fenders and bigger rubber are nice too!

I would add all of the C6R stuff, to create a race hybrid, much like the DBRS9 which runs in Fia GT3.

Here are some links to help answer you questions.
http://www.z06vette.com/01.php
http://www.corvettemuseum.com/specs/2006/index.shtml
The second one will give you most of the information you want in terms of spec. The first one will let you ask questions and get answers from people who own th C6 ZO6.
