when i turn my civic over when it is col like 40 - 50 degrees, it take a while for it to start. I will turn it over for about 5 - 7 seconds and maybe it will start, but not always. sometime i have to do it again.
Anyone know what I should do to fix this before the really cold of the winter comes?

Check your spark plugs, and whether you're getting spark all together.

it starts, and it runs, but it takes a while for me to start it in the cold. My spark plugs are alway black for some reason. I think im running rich.

Well that could do it. I had the same problem with my car a year or 2 ago, and as soon as I replaced my plugs, the car starts right up with no problem. And it sounds like you need to replace them anyways, whether that's the solution or not.

i'll take pictures of the plugs and maybe you can help me diagnose the problem with what is wrong.
