Wings on the Sol

Some wings look better then others the stock wing on the del sol is one of the best lookin out there. But i have seen people with aluminum, large, small, medium type wings, Supra styles to combat syle, Which is your favorite?

I think it's more personal preference, but from what I noticed in the show scene is big wings are out and more of a sleek subtle type of wing/spoiler is more the current trend. I see more big wings on cars locally in my area that are owned by like teens that aren't really involved in the show scene. Everyone has a style they like to represent, but personally I like a more subtle spoiler. I don't mind a bigger wing, but if doesn't flow with the rest of the cars body lines and looks out of place then I think it looks rather ridiculous.

I like Touring on a black Sol (similar to OEM, but not something that everyone has...I have to be original)...
otherwise, in most cases, I've grown to love Kaminari, I think it flows pretty well with the car.

Wings on front wheel drive cars are useless.

wings on a FWD car is not useless, it slows the car down...A LOT!! LOL:D

Wings slow you down on fwd cars? In the 1/4 without a doubt i wouldn't argue with you. But try telling it to this guy or anyone else on a road racing circuit, am i no, is a adjustable or any type of wing with down foarce going to help me cruise on the high way or down a cow path no. But wings on a fwd vehicle can serve a purpose and still can apply usefull downfoarce at high speeds to keep your ass end behind you.

i don't know who is voting for the supra style wings in the poll, but they are definitely the worst looking of all, they don't flow with the body at all and look way out of place, at least to me. there is one that i see driving around from time to time and it just looks he did it as a bad joke.

MUGEN SPOILER> * !!! :) Check out the mugen spoiler... it's frickin tight... and yes it's a spoiler and not a wing..

If I had to choose, I saw OEM.

oem...an guys...fwd cars can use a spoiler JUST as much as a rwd car FYI.

wings are not only used for down force they are used to reduce drag. i dont know if n e one has seen the wind patterns leaving the tail of car. causes lots of drag and wings help that

IMO, I think Supra style wings make a Sol look like a shopping cart going down the road....

I'm tellin ya.. the mugen style spoiler looks slick. Here's a pic.. This is my friend Kelly's sol.. (Mine's the red one in the background with the OEM wing). If you're looking to buy an OEM wing I have one for sale! :D

i like the mugen style if the car has a kit on it, otherwise just stick to OEM. aluminum and supra wings just look ridiculous on any type of del sol.

a supra wing on a del sol is ugly, but a combat wing looks pretty good, my friend just bought one today. still trying to get him to join AF

The three-piece isn't too bad. I wouldn't go any taller than that though. Those tall wings make it look like a shopping cart handle. :biggrin:

My personal favorite is the OEM though... at least until I decide otherwise. Tall wings on the Del Sol just don't look right to me.

No one has mentioned the touring style wings they look pretty tight on the sols also.

Yeah, I like the touring wings. I'm keeping my OEM for now. It's still my favorite. :bigthumb:

OEM is my favorite, there is a trunk lid with one at my local junk yard that's in perfect condition, I can't wait to buy it.
