i have absoulutly no idea why i see 4 pedals in some cars. What is the 4th pedal used for?

Umm, some cars have a pedal operated parking brake I think... Those are usually automatics from my experience...

its on the far left. its usually long , but it aint the clutch. i see it sometimes, but not often enough to know what exactly it is

You may be thinking of the dead pedal. It's not actually a pedal at all, it's just a solid resting place for your left foot when not on the clutch pedal. They're typically for driver comfort, but they're also useful to brace yourself with in hard corners... Well, until you need to clutch again. :P

Also on some car, the e-brake is a pedal to the left of the clutch if that helps

thats on all US trucks & some cars from 80s & before. find a car from back then & you'll find the HI beam switch on the floor, a 1inch round metal button.
