More Q's - 2000 Blazer

As we drive the "new" blazer more, we find more interesting things. It is a 2000, LT option I belive, ZR2 option, auto, 2 door.
1) None of the LED lights for the 2WD and HI/LO 4WD buttons are working.
2) None of the interior dome lights are working.
3) Headlights are always on when the ignition is on?
4) Radio (GM factory as far as I can tell) stays on when ignition turned off unless the radio is speficially turned off.
All of the rest of the interior stuff (radio, power seat, dash lights, HVAC etc) seem to be working fine.
Having never had a 4X4 before, I have no idea how it "feels" in 4 wheel compared to 2 wheel. Don't really care about the LED's except to ensure that I'm in 2WD. She feels like she's wandering a bit at highway speed, but that might just be the "big arse tires" - I'd just like to have a visual reference to tell me I'm in 2WD
Since LED's rarely burn out, I thought maybe there was a fuse out, but I looked at the panel on side of the dash (driver's door area) and all the fuses are fine. Is there another fuse panel somewhere?
Any thoughts on any of this would be helpful.
Still haven't had time to dig into the tailgate problem, but I printed a bunch of stuff out - next weekend will be Blazer weeeknd - this past one was the kitch floor weekend (I got a Blazer, she got a new kitchen floor and refrigerator)

I'm not an expert, but this is what I would do first:
(1) (a) check the fuses (b) pry out the switch and make sure none of the plug connections are corroded.
(2) (a) make sure you don't have the dimmer turned all the way down, (b) check the appropriate fuses as per your owners manual diagram (c) check the bulbs.
(3) Assuming you are not just referring to the daytime running lights, and the actual headlights are on in daytime, try cleaning the light sensor on the top of the dash with a Q-tip and some windex
(4) That is normal -- the radio should go off by itself after about 5 or 10 minutes if you are still sitting in the car, or the instant you open the door to get out.

Thanks - I'll start with those
UDPATE:
Interesting - you're right - the radio goes off after the door is opened - odd. Found a bad fuse for the dome lights, replaced it and they worked, then when I restarted the truck the fuse blew again. Hmm, something to figure out.
Still have to look at the other stuff yet.

1) They're not LEDs, they're incandesant bulbs. With a small flat blade screwdriver, pry the switch out, twist the bulb holders out, and run down to Napa and pick up 3 new bulbs - each indicator has it's own bulb. Mine last about 3 years a piece, especially the 2HI, which is on the majority. Abot $1.00 each
2) Hunt down that bare wire that's shorting out. Look at the wire harness going thru the driver's door. Mine was recalled for this (shorting wire causing a possible fire hazard) You might want to look under your hood and see if you have any recall stickers applied to the radiator cowling. They'll be small white stickers that say something like "Campaign 03006 Completed" with the dealer code number also written on the sticker. Could also be Campaign code 03020.
If you don't have any recall stickers, you may want to run your VIN number thru a dealer to see if any active recalls are available to be done on your truck, but if you're more than the 2nd owner on the truck, I'm not sure if the General would do the recall work.
3) Headlights are always on on these models - although it's at a lower voltage for the Daytime Running lights. You should have a green light illuminated on the dash when your headlights are off. This indicates the DRLs are on. To turn off the DRLs, step down to the first ratchet on your parking brake pedal. The headlamps, and the green indicator on the dash should go off.
