It's because of people like you (no offense, honestly) that they might not make that hood and those wheels. You guys gotta understand, that's a C6R in sheep's clothing, or BETTER. The hood vent is extremely functional and those wheels used to have one lug because they're race tires. This is still the best vette to come out, umm, possibly ever from GM anyway. There's lingenfelter's cars, and the callaways but I love this car.
The only thing I'm praying about this 650hp monster is that they don't only make a yellow one. It was supposed to be blue, you know the blue devil?

Yeah, sorry, don't like the wheels. And the front end almost seems like there is too much going on. Vettes almost always seem very simple and subtle in the front. The only problem with the new vette (AKA - Corvette SS/Stringray/Blue Devil...whatever they are going to call it) is that the LS9 beast will be priced over $100K. There goes the appealing price aspect. BUt that price for 650 factory horses isn't bad. But dodge upped the output of their SRT-10 viper, calling it the 'Diamondback', and its still N/A and 8.3 liters to boot. Think they de-tuned it in '03? I think its estimated around 650hp also.

Oh yeah? I've seen the Diamondback in testing videos, how much do you think it's going to be?

I like the Z07, but not if it is going to be over $100K.. I will stick with the Z06
According to the picture posted it looks like 5 lugs not one. Unless you read something else.

i hear that there will be a DOHC V-8 under the hood.
thats the future right there.
how do you think feraris and such produce such prodigous power

I just thought of something. Sorry to post this so late but I pondered, why, why the heck do some companies have to churn out street cars that are too fast for the road. The answer came to me, GT racing. Then I pondered some more. If this race developed vette really gets into the mainstream market along with the new viper, we could be seeing some very fast new race cars.
So far, it's just a dream.

since you brought it up...
what is too fast for the road.
how do you define it.
acceleration, top speed, power?
anyway, just a thought.
personally i've always liked the viper better than any corvette.
for a long time corvettes only had 375hp.
they just didnt compare to the 475 that vipers cranked out at the time.
however, GM seems to be trying to fix this little problem, so i may have to take a closer look at the new Z07.

Nope, the LS9 is still going to be a pushrod small block. A supercharged and intercooled 6.2L.
I have read rumors of GM working on a new 3-valve pushrod system. Sounds interesting. But I have also heard something about GM dabbling in OHC engines. And the reason OHC vehicles can make such power is because they can rev so much higher. But pushrods accentuate torque, not high-revving power.
