Just got my exhaust fixed on a 1980 elcamino, but now my steering column rattles. The column shifter is weighing the shift sleeve down and making it rattle , any ideas on how to stop the noise?

Update: I got under it this morning while it was in drive and i now know that the shift linkage is hitting the new exhaust system. Anyone know what the best way to fix this is?

Take it back to the exhaust shop, all they need to do is loosen it up, pry it away from the steering linkage and tighten it up. Should take a decent guy all of 20 minutes total.

I would of taken it back but it was all under the table because he got rid of the cats. Anyway its fixed now, i took it somewhere else and they just heated it up with the tig and used plyers to put a dent in the pipe.
