Anybody know if anybody is releasing the 599 in plastic? I would LOVE to get my hands on one.

Revell of Germany is releasing it this December.
I think Fujimi will release it also but not sure of the release date yet.

Not sure what country it is to be released in December, but I have it landing in the Continental United States about 3/15 of 2007.

I think Fujimi is doing one too. It looks like Revell Germany and Fujimi are kitting all the same cars :-)

Is this too frequent and too bizarre to be pure coincidence?
I wonder.......

It does seem a strange coincidence :-) I think it is more a function of the market focus. Fujimi, like most Japanese companies, focuses on the Japanese market and really only cares about sales there. They will only make kits thta the Japanese market wants. If they sell around the world that is just a bonus. So Fujimi supplies Ferrari kits to the local market. i suspect Revell Germany is a bit more global but they do also probably gear their releases to the tastes of the European market.

I always enjoy a good conspiracy theory :D
Although, with ROG sort of splitting itself off (on paper at least) and with Airfix closing down.....hmmm.....food for thought ;)

Add Revell USA to the Ferrari Super AMerica list, I'm sure it'll be the RoG re-boxed, my guess is that the 599 will be reboxed by Revell USA also.

your wrong about the Ferrari SuperAmerica, the Revell version is totally different to the Fujimi version and has more parts, with a full engine detail to boot and opening bonnet and separate exhaust pieces, while the Fujimi version has no engine and molded in bonnet, and molded in exhaust in chassis

Wrrong about what? I made no comparisons to either one. I stated that the SuperAmerica was coming to Revell USA not just the RoG kit.
Yes, the kits from Fujimi and RoG are quite different with RoG having engine detail.
I wonder where some of you guys get my information mixed up. Slowly re-read it.
Thanks
Chris

Thought I d post this picture about the upcoming Red Horsie By Revell.
Here is a proto-shot I found on their website, it looks absolutely stunning, and I m getting one of those! even the rims seem to be tooled about the right size!

Oh yeah, and another thing...
If you're considering the Superamerica, I have mixed opinions...
I m not going to judge by the pictures on the revell site, as that IS the worst advertisement ever...
So that's a heads up!
