Anyone ever install heated seats into their 00 Monte carlo, or any car for that matter? I am wondering how dificult it is to do at home, Kits on Ebay go for as little as 75 a seat, thats a third of how much my local car audio store wants to charge me to install them. Thanks for any help.

Just a quick question and then my opinion on the way to go.

Why do you want heated seats? Are your seats cloth or leather? If they are cloth then dont even bother as cloth doesnt get cold, or if it does, not noticeably cold. Other than that, if I were you i'd get it done professionally because if they mess up, usually they stand by their work and will repair it, plus they'll have a better sense of what they're doing.

My Seats are Leather, and I live by Lake Eire, this means my seats can get ass cold due to lake effect snow and cold weather. Temps arround here drop to negitive numbers. I respect the fact that you think i should get them done professionally, and I have considered that, but the cost to have that done seems to high to justify someone simply removing my leather and putting a heater in.
