My name is Jason and I'm kind of new to this racing deal. I pretty much know nothing about it.
Right now what I'm curious about is what kind of performance tools do I need in order to have my car considered "race worthy" ?? What are the different stages of performance ( I.E. Stage I/Stage II/ETC... ) and do you need all of them or just some??
I don't exactly have the car I'm going to be using for this yet ( Shelby Cobra ( have it ordered )) but I'd like to know ahead of time so I'm prepared to just lay down the money I need to get parts and go...
Thanks

if youre getting a shelby cobra, stock they are considered "race worthy".

You're full of BS, or daddy is ordering you a new Cobra. Either way, if you are in fact getting a new Cobra, you have no business modding it seeing as it'll be more than you can handle while it's bone stock.

Wow, that thing just screams... Seriously, why mod a Cobra...? :grinno: ...The thing seemed like it was about to rip the belts and rocket out of the garage... :screwy:

Yeah I know that thing is insane!! the vid is proof that you really dont need to do much to it to make it ''race worthy''. like said before, it comes stock ''race worthy''.

That depends Jason. If your getting it in Grand Turismo you have to go to the little icon with the american flag, click on it then look for the icon with the Ford logo, click on it, then go to the garage and upgrade from there. Yes there are stages and you have to watch out cause some races wont allow certain stages i.e. race tires.
Now if your getting it in Need For Speed then dont worry cause you wont be disqualified based on stages. the more you get the better it is. Oh but you do have to beat certain races or bosses depending on what stage you want.
Hope that helps little feller.

WTF are you guys talking about? There's no such thing as a "Shelby Cobra" that's Mustang-based.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0505_2007_ford_mustang_shelby_gt_500/
That is a "Shelby GT-500", though it might have snake badges. The car it's replacing, the Mustang Cobras, did not have "Shelby" associated with it in any way. The article explains.
If he really is getting a "Shelby Cobra" then it's a fake one, unless somehow he came up with 2+ million dollars to buy a real one.
If he is getting a GT-500, then he knows less about this car than you guys feared. He likely learned everything he knows from the salesman.
Either way, I call BS. Anyone who can afford even a Shelby Cobra replica won't be posting in a forum such as this, asking about "Stage I, Stage II, etc."
