92 Bonney Radiator problem

Yesterday, while the wife is out on errands, the water temp gauge redlines to 280. She got it home, I opened the hood and steam is blowing out the top right side of the radiator. Appears to coming out of a threaded brass connection right below the radiator hose.
Is that a pressure release valve that can be replaced or should I be thinking of replacing the radiator, considering it's got 130K miles on it.
Would like some advice before I have the car towed to my repair shop.
TIA,
Bob

Check out the thermostat. If it never turns on the coolant will only cycle inside of the engine.
Does your fans turn on? I beleive the fans are controlled by a different sensor though.

Thanks for the reply, but I've already gotten the car into the shop. Turns out there was a huge crack in the radiator, and I had to replace it along with hoses, thermosat, gaskets etc . Ended up costing about $600.
