ok this seems to be a recurring issue that i find a little bizarre. after a bit of sliding on gravel (ok ok, after a lot of sliding sideways on fine gravel), i hear a nice scraping sound from my brakes. yes. several times now ive gotten a rock stuck in there. visually i cant see it, but if i go in reverse for a few seconds it gets much louder and then pops out and everything is fine again. i assume this is unavoidable and just an annoying side effect of flying gravel. anybody else had this happen?

One solution is to stop sliding on gravel. It's bad for many parts such as the brakes that the cravel can get into, especially if it's fine gravel like playground sand. It could be in the pads, or it could be in other components like wheel bearings or suspension bushings... Hard to say really.
