93 burbon DAO Here's what I've done, HELP!!

First off, thanks for reading my post.
Second, I've been using the search button for over two weeks, great tool, wish more would use it so I don't have to sift through so much crap....

For the last few months my burbon has been running a little rough, not bad, but a bit "off". I replaced plugs, rotor, cap in Nov '05...
a couple weeks ago, found a rusty plug wire, replaced all, ran great for a day.

Had very poor accel from idle to 2000rpm, then ran ok.
Now it won't even start...no spark.
...Now, as of today...
Every sensor (most were overdue), fuel pump, fuel filter, new cap, rotor, ACD plugs gapped .035, distributor (went w/ A1 as I looked high and low for an ACD and couldn't find one) installed profesionally by a good "wrench".
I have no spark, but have power to the coil (which I ohm'd out ok, but replaced anyway) I know the pump and filter won't have have anything to do w/ it, but WTF, it was time.

I also replaced the ECM this morning!
WHAT IS LEFT???!!!
The chip?
Bad replacement dist?

It does have an aftermarket alarm which I disabled, but am still not counting that out.
All sensors seemed ok, but at a quarter million miles, it couldn't hurt anyway.
I am not getting any codes other than an EGR (off and on for two years), and I got a lean reading from the O2, but I believe that was from when they did the timing on the new dist.

This started when it was still running.
Parts list in two weeks (replaced one at a time, about in this order):

Plug wires, cap, rotor: one day change (injectors squirting)
fuel filter: no change
O2 sensor: no change
idle air sensor: no change
coolant temp sensor: no change
EGR sensor (valve on order) :no change (no code)
Checked for vacuum leaks: none
Map sensor: no change
Distributor, no change/worse
TPS (haven't put it on yet as there's no fire now)
ECM
Ign coil.
Fuel pump...WTF? why not throw another 50 bucks into it?
I am getting better pressure, but FI's still not squirting, no spark.

I'm thinkin' chip WTF else is left???!!!

Scott

Help me please, or I am gonna be forced to buy a Dodge!!!!

Welcome Aboard!

And thank you for using the SEARCH function.

You need to determine if the lack of injector activity is due to alack of pulses from the ECM, or a lack of fuel pressure. Since you have a TBI unit, the standing pressure shoudl be between 11-13 PSIG. If it's a 454 TBI, the pressure should be closer to 22-26 PSIG.

If pressure is adequate, there is little left but the injectors themselves. Check the INJ fuses, and make sure one lead of each injector has a 12VDC supply whenever the ignition is turned on. If so, the ECM should ground (pulse) the injectors every time a distributor reference pulse is sent to the ECM.

Sorry you've replaced so much hardware, possibly unnecessarily. We'll get it.

Thanks for the welcome ,Bluetie.
At this point, I have no spark...
Injector pressure now(I would think) shouldn't have anything to do w/ it.
I have juice to the coil, but no fire.
I have also sprayed starting fluid in while cranking and no fire.
I think at this point, since I have replaced EVERY ignition part, I've got a chip problem, or a broken wire...I think it's time for lots of beer.

hate to say but replace the coil again,it's quick and easy. also check the pickup and module inside of distrbutor. i had the same problem after putting in timing chain. fiddled and fiddled then went to autozone got new plugs, coil and distributor(after putting in new pickup coil and module in the old one)guess what? fired right up. damn new parts!:banghead:

I ohm'd the original coil and it was good, put a new one in anyway (ohm'd it first).
I'm thinkin' it may be a bad new distributor.

If there is no spark and are no injector pulses, the pickup coil/reluctor assembly is not generating signal, or the signal is not being amplified by the module in the base of the distributor. Given that it's a new/reman distributor, I'd suspect the module before the pickup coil, but check both while you're in there. The resistance of the pickup coil should be between 500-1,500 ohms, with 850 ohms being perfect. Since the condition has apparently occurred with two distributors, you may want to check the connections at the distributor.

Thanks blue,
Went out this mornin' and just for sh!ts and grins cranked it...fired right up, ran like a top. drov it about 4 miles, ran better than ever, actually got a little tire spin (285's).
brought it back, was sewing on a leather steering wheel cover, decided to idle it as I had the door open not to run down battery.
Idled for about three minutes, no stutter, just died.
managed to fire it up once more w/ rough idle and then died.
Didn't check spark, but was getting no spray at all, oops, I did have spark, sprayed starting fluid in while cranking and it fired.
Finally threw my arms up and had it towed to the dealer.
All connections were good, popped in a new module in the old dist, no change, so I took it back.
I'm getting power to the coil from the ign switch.
Dealer thinks they can find it pretty quick...we'll see.

If you haven't cheked yet, you might have a cloged catalitic converter. Get under the Sub and bang on it a few times to clear some air way. Good luck.

Sorry it's been like six months....
Not the converter...it fell off a long time ago.

I also put a new ECM in the beast.

It was a bad ignition module in the new distributor...

Finally had it towed to the dealer and showed him my grocery list...
After the diognostic, he kinda laughed and said it was the only part not on my list...I almost laughed and replied, that was because it came w/ the new distibutor.:banghead:
