My buddy has a 96 Intrepid and he can't find the knob/switch to turn on the fog lights. The manual shows that if you pull out on the head lights knob then they'll turn on but they don't. Is there a special trick that turns them on? Any help would be appreciated.

I guess nobody in here has any idea what the problem is, so nobody in here has fog lights I'm assuming?

After you turn on the lights (turn the switch to the right) you should be able to pull out on the switch and the lights come on. Just as you posted. If they dont, check to see if the lights are still good, if still no light check for bad wires or no ground.

But if you pull the "switch" then the knob comes off. I'm sure it's not suppose to so whats the problem here. This should be easy to answer if you have ever used your fog lights.

Yes I actually use them most of the time. The switch will pull out once you have the knob turned all the way to the right. You cant run the fog lights without the regular lights on. If it wont pull out easily the switch may be damaged, if that is the case I have seen replacement switched on e-bay for about $10.

No the switch pulls literally off the dash, into my hand. So heres what happens, I turn the knob clock wise to turn the lights on and then pull out on the knob once the headlights are on and what happens, the knob comes off the dash and into my hand. and the fog lights do not come on.

That would tell me that the switch is damaged. I have seen these on e-bay for about $10 and will take about 15 minutes to replace.

I've seen a while back a modification that can be done to allow the fog lights to be on whenever the parking lights are on. I believe it was on www.dodgeintrepid.net (http://www.dodgeintrepid.net) but I'm not sure. I cant find it now. If I find it I will post a link to it here.
