Looking at a 94-95 GT...

I'm looking to get a 94-95 GT, why? I want a 5.0 and I like the SN95 body the best.

I have a few quick questions that i hope a few of you can answer.

1. Is there any differences in the 94-95 cars? if so can you list or point me to a site that lists them.
2. Anything I should watch for when buying these cars? (aside from obvious/normal wear and tear things)
3. I'm am planing thist as mosly just a fun car as an alternative to my ZX2 which will be going autoX only. What do they typicly make with boltons, and IF I went w/ a SC what is a safe range for stock internals?

I'm not looking to make a racecar here just somthing that I can drive and have fun in.

1.Not any that I know of.
2.Cant think of anything.
3.You would probaly make around 230rwhp with full bolt on's, and I think the limit is around 11 PSI on stock internals.

I agree I'd stick with the manual for that particular car. There is no difference between the 94-95 GT, the only thing I would like to make you aware of in that the computer in this particular year of car pulls timming on hard acceleration and gear changes. The only way around it is to get some sort of tune. This was fords answer to previous models breaking trannys due to speedshifting. Short of that I think there great cars to mod and definatley one of the better body styles.

if i may ask... why go turbo when you can do a complete rebuild of the 302 for cheaper and get better gains?

A buddy of mine has a 800hp 302 (of course it's all aftermarket and i don't think there's any oem left to the 302... but i've seen the dyno...

I guess for gas mileage it would be a reason (he get's like 4mpg or something retarded like that... but it's his track car)

but the 94 and 95 had same engine, same body, i think there were some little changes with like movable seats or something, but nothing noticable.

You could just drop a cobra engine in it and have fun... but definately go manual unless it's just to cruise, then auto should be fine. Auto, if tuned right can be better than a manual (like at the track) but for autox and shit like that you gotta have a manual.

If you go auto at least put a mild shift kit improves big time

check for rust and make sure the frame aint bent at all, and for the supercharger id stay at like 8 psi, the 94 5.0's had the shittier engine(my car does too), with the hypereutic(or however the hell you spell it) pistons and arent as strong as the older 5.0s.
