my front passenger side window wont go down (power windows)
the switch doesnt work from the drivers or passengers side and it didnt just suddenly die, it intermittently stopped working...im thinking it's a motor problem, because if it were a switch problem, the drivers side would actuate the motor wouldn't it? also, on some mornings my drivers side seems to get stuck and need a few door slams to get going...any ideas on either issue?

The right front motor may already be damaged from overcurrent. If so, it requires replacement. The window channels should be cleaned and treated with clear silicone grease once a year to help the window motors perform their job.

When you remove the right front window regulator and motor, clean and grease the regulator mechanism while you're in there. Make sure the window balance spring is not broken.

You should be able to test the motor to see if that's the problem. I'd suggest testing before trying to replace those. The switch, on the other hand, is relatively cheap (about $20 dealer, $5 junkyard) and much easier to replace. Some of the windows on my '93 were acting screwy, so I bought a new motor (about $60) for the passenger side, but after a test,it turned out to just be the switch. Naturally it was too late to return the motor :(....So I've got a brand new one sittin in the closet!
