chance to Buy

Hey all, I am new to this site and i am bieng offered a 97 3000GT 3.0 v6 NA for 5k. It has 80k miles and is in fairly good condition with about 1k in mods in it. I'm tempted but idk whether i can get a better deal or not?

Is it DOHC or SOHC? Either way it sounds like a great deal (especially if its a DOHC) assuming like you said that it is in good shape.

Hey now, don't bash on the SOHC's. We have feelings too.

Providing it's 5spd DOHC, I'd probably pick it up if I were you. Not to say there is anything wrong with autos or SOHCs, but yeah. Seems like a good deal, you can check www.kbb.com to see what it would go for in your area. Also keep in mind mods don't add value to a car. The seller may want to raise the price to get back some of his money, and you or another buyer may want it modded, but in the literal sense of the word, mods don't add value...so keep that in mind.
