94 Gmc Sierra Header Question

Ok i am going to be getting my engine pulled and figured id get some headers to accomidate for the power im going to be loosing with an old engine. So i was looking online and i called up Summit and they told me that i should go with a set of "Ceramic Headers" that they last longer and low better, bow i was also told that the metal headers work just as good but just dont last as long. Really 2 me they both seem about the same but if i knew exactly why they were different i wouldn't be on here so if someone could help me with this question it would be greatly appriciated.
