Anyone remember my last race?

What do you know, what do you know? Civ raced, and Civ raced. Jeez, I really can't remember the last time I posted up a story about me racing. Well, have I got a story for you kids. Before I start, I just want to thank our Moderator -Josh- for selling me a fun little car. It's quick, cute, and fun (yes, I wrote "cute", shaddup). So, where to begin? I had such an eventful day, and I didn't even have to leave the rez to find a race. They all came to me.
Welp, let me just make a small list, starting from worst race, to funnest race. Four races with four cars in one day sure does make you feel good. Ok, 1st race: 1994-98 Mustang GT. 2nd: Honda S2000. 3rd: 99-04 Mustang GT. Lastly: 2005 (or O6) Dodge Charger SRT-8. Oh it was so delightful!!
So, there was a huge Lacrosse tournament here on the rez this past week. And many visitors came to town. From a few other reservations, and some out of towners as well. Due to the tournament, a massive amount of vehicles came to the our fair island. Thus, I decided to take a cruise, show off my little car, and maybe catch a race or two if anyone was willing to bite. Little did I know, not even 2 seconds after pulling out my driveway, I'd get what I wanted. A silver GT drove past, holding two passengers on board. Both of which were staring as they drove by. Weeee!
So, before anyone else came, I pulled out behind them. I decided to be playful and caught up. I pulled up the the driver's side and let that little "KKSSEEETTTT" sound go off by their door. Musta startled the guy. I laughed, nodded, and the kid went for the bait. The slight silence, and then grumble of his engine gave me the signal that I should step on it if I were going to jump the lead before he decided to put up a good fight. So, a quick downshift at the same moment, and POOF! There I looked in the rearview mirror to see that he was falling behind. I glanced at myself in the mirror, smiled, and then continued as the Mustang slowed, and turned off the main road.
Once I reached the end of the Island, I took notice that there were only a few minutes before the next game. So I decided to head back, and venture to the game. I pulled into my cousins driveway, noticed he was home, and decided to two-way him to see if he was going along. No more than a few minutes later he came outside, hoped in his little S2K and we ventured over. I two-wayed him again, and asked if he was up for a little "Follow the Leader". "Why not," was his reply. And so it began. He paced behind me at roughly 40 mph. I raised my hand in the air, hold up three fingers and counted back. I dropped my fist and stomped on the accelerator.
I'll admit that he scared me for a brief moment, when I realized I wasn't moving that fast, only to notice I was in the wrong gear. 4th was my mistake and I immediately tried to correct it. At this point I noticed he was pulling up to my side without a moment to spare. I shifted, and pressed the gas. Quickly, the RPM's hit 3K and I could hear the wastegate opening up. By this moment he was almost about to make his pass. I gained ground as we each shifted and he continued to stay at my side as I reeled him in, and then slowly passed. By 100 mph I felt safely in the lead and signalled my victory with a choice finger, and then a quick wave. Acknowledged by my cousin, we slowed and went on towards our destination.
A couple hours later I found myself in the parking lot getting ready to leave. There was still quite a bit of daylight left, so I figured there was time to cruise again. I went down to the local convenient store to grab a soda. As I pulled in, I took notice of a decent looking GT. Very good choice of polished aluminum wheels. Not bad. I glanced at the driver who also took notice of my pulling up. He was definitely from out of the area. I walked in quickly to grab my soda, hoping I'd have the time to follow him out the parking area. With sure luck, I did just that. I paced behind him as we headed back to the arena. I couldn't see if he was looking back at me, but I had a hunch he'd try to test my little imports capabilities.
I pressed the clutch to drown out my exhuast, and wait for the sound of him picking up the pace. Surely, he tried his best to get away. I was more prepared than I had anticipated, and I kept behind him. The gears changed quickly and I found myself inching on his bumper, and I even surprised myself when I had to tap the brakes a few times to keep from hitting his bumper. The thought then occured to me, that I could in fact pass him if I had the space and opportune moment. Knowing this, I backed off, and waved. He gave my a friendly wave and a quick thumbsup before our turn.
Well, after the last game I attended for the day, the sun was falling, and the day was shifting to darkness. I felt I should get home and retire the Eclipse for the evening. As I pulled up the main road, I couldn't help but snap my head to the right as a speeding car blew past. I could faintly see it was a Charger, so I decided to catch up. The Charger was quick to slow down as I attempted to catch up. Once I came to the rear, I squinted to notice the small badge near the taillight...SRT-8. My interest peaked, and I quickly wanted to test my odds. I had a pretty good clue what I was in for, but I've yet to see where I stood against my awaiting foe.
I shifted, and took the chance to pass. No sooner than when I had reached the left taillight did I hear the grunt of the Charger. And quickly I fell behind. I continued on, trying desperately not to seem as if I had given up. I wanted to let my opponent know that I was going to go on, even if the distance between us was as great as it was. The two lights glowed insanely with red, signalling me to slow down. I wasn't the least bit worried or upset, but rather cheerful that I had my chance at a very quick car. I turned around at the nearest drive-way and decided to tuck the Eclipse in for the night.
I got home, shut the Eclipse down, and went inside. I sat in front of the T.V. and decided to watch for a while. It was an adventurous day, and it was one that I felt was worth telling you all about. Hope you enjoyed. If there are anymore races that are even as fun as this, I'll be sure to post them. Thanks for taking the time to read this little tale of my Eclipse.

Oh believe me, there are some pretty damn fast cars around here on the reservation. I have a hard time beating some of the Diesel trucks here. Alot of guys just buying 'em just to throw the Banks System on.
I'd consider myself in the middle class category of fast cars. I'll have to get up some pictures of the car show we held not too long ago. Tons of cars around that you don't get to see unless there's a sunny day.
It was nice to have some fun though. If I get either of the cars I'm looking at, I'll be sure to try and stand out among some of the vehicles here.

Yes I am Native American.
Rice(er) isn't that bad of a member. When he first came here, he did make quite a few "odd" posts. In his defense, he wasn't very educated on the automotive world. I'd say he's making good progress here.
I'd consider myself in the middle class category of fast cars
Ralliart, that is where I consider myself in this area. Where you come from, there maybe faster cars, or slower. But if you come here, I'm sure you'd find yourself in my category, too.

Hey Civ, do you have dyno numbers for you GS-t yet? If so, what are they, because I'm pretty sure Ralliart is pushing around 530 HP, if I remember correctly...

Hm, I responded to this thread last night, but I don't see my post. Wierd.
Anyway, nice races. Sounds like they went pretty much how I would have expected. Good stuff, seems like you had fun. I still havn't lined up next to an SRT8, that I can remember.
