Odd drivetrain noise

95 Lesabre 57000 miles
Was driving the car the other day and heard a strange WOWing noise in the usual engine buzz around the time the torque converter locks up (about 35-40mph). This only happens with a moderate throttle/acceleration, and not under light acceleration or heavy acceleration. Car has been well taken care of with regular 3 month oil changes and a trans pan drop about 4k ago. Although I can hear the noise I can feel no effects on the car itself. Anyone have any idea what I am hearing. The car has the 4t60 transmission.:dunno:
