Broken wheel bolts...

So I noticed on one of my wheels that I was missing 4 of the 5 studs. I put the car in the garrage, took the tire off, brake and punched out the bits of left over studs out from the circle slot thingy.

I went and bought some new one's only to find out that I cant get them to go in all the way. Its seems there aint enough room to put em thur the slots.

Question is,

Can I take off that circle slots thing so I can get them in the slots?

or is there another way I could fix this problem?

What circle slot thingy are your refering too??

Is thier a "C" clip attached to the new studs keeping them from going in?
OR are the studs just to fat to fit?
Thier could be more than one size(diameter of studs) for your car.

Sometimes the studs need pressed in.
Insert the new stud from the rear of the hub.

Install flat washers and nut (flat side down),
onto the wheel stud,
then tighten until the wheel stud is fully seated.

Use a light oil on the washers and nut to ease the installation procedure.

Well comparing em to the one left in the hub they seem to be the same size.

I also attempted to took off the hub and unscrewed the lug thats in the middle but the hub doesnt budge. I just need a little more room.

Is there some other bolt I need to remove in order the pull that hub forward a lttle I dont see any though seem it all connected to be honest.

you will need a hub.bearing puller.
