330 SAT NAV - missing current location

Hi I have just brought a 2001 330 with SATNAV. It allows me to program a destination but it thinks I am stuck in a location 130 miles away. There is a CD in, but I just can seem to get it to work.
I looked at the SATNAV unit and it is a Philips and all the wires seem in place.
